Mizzou Esports’ Rocket League team finished the fall season with a third place finish in the Collegiate Rocket League Finals. They captured a Western Championship and a second place finish in the Maui Esports invitational in their successful campaign.

However, Mizzou lost a starter from the team due to eligibility reasons, and the Tigers were forced to fill that spot. After their Spring semester tryouts, Mizzou has announced the new rosters for both Mizzou Gold and Mizzou Black

Mizzou Gold:

Riley “Choxic” Putnam

Christian “Crimz” VanMeter

Noah “Blanks” De Aces

Mizzou Black:

Colby Mitchell

Aidan “Whale” Cay

Chris “Homelessbaby” Johnston

Chris “LaCheeky” Schniepp (Sub)

De Aces joined the Mizzou Gold roster, moving up from Mizzou Black. Johnston and Cay were his two teammates on that roster, and they will now team up with Mitchell and Schniepp who are both newcomers.

“Now that we got Blanks, he’ll do everything that’s necessary,” assistant coach Blake “Ulti” Griesbauer said. “He’s a jack-of-all-trades but he still specializes in offense.”

Griesbauer mentioned that the team will look to be more aggressive this season in order to compete with top teams such as Akron and Northwood. De Aces will look to join Putnam and VanMeter in an attempt to dethrone the Zips and Timberwolves.

“Crimz always has a defensive stance and would move onto offense,” Griesbauer said. “Chox is the go-to guy for our offense. Chox is a nightmare on the field.”

The Spring CRL season is set to begin in the coming months, and the University of Missouri is primed for another run to defend their Western Title.
