University of Tennessee Esports Hosts Online Tournaments

The University of Tennessee Esports has opened registration for their VOLINE tournament. VOLINE is a tournament meant to unwind students during an already stressful time of year with Covid-19 and Finals looming over their heads. There will be individual tournaments with eight different formats for six games. The tournaments are as follows:

  •         Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles (Cash Prize Included)
  •         Lethal League Blaze Singles
  •         CS:GO Wingman BO3
  •         Overwatch 6v6
  •         Rainbow 6 Siege
  •         Valorant 5v5
  •         Lethal League Blaze Doubles
  •         CS:GO 5v5

With Smash Ultimate being the only tournament to include a prize it is sure to be an exciting event with many players of all skill levels in attendance.

 The prize pool stands at $40 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd place, and $10 for third place. 

The tournament is set in a double elimination format and there are already competitors from multiple universities signing up to compete. 

All tournaments will take place on Saturday December 12th with registration for the Smash Ultimate Singles Tournament closing at 10 a.m. CST.  All other tournaments close at 10:59 p.m. CST. 

Events are expected to begin at 11 a.m. CST. registration for all the events is free.
